Frequently asked questions

Why do I need higher error correction for a logo QR code?
A center logo physically covers part of the QR matrix. Error correction at Quartile (25%) or High (30%) gives the scanner enough redundant data to reconstruct the code despite the obstruction.
How big can the logo be?
As a rule, keep the logo under 25% of the QR code's total area when using error correction level H. Bigger logos start failing on weak cameras and bad lighting.
Can I use any brand colors I want?
Almost. Keep strong contrast between the foreground and background — a dark color on a light background is safest. Inverted (light on dark) codes work but are less reliable on older phones.
