QR Code Generator for Google Reviews
Stop asking customers to 'search for us on Google and leave a review' — that's a 12-step funnel that loses 95% of them. Print a QR code that opens the review form directly on their phone. One scan, three taps, done.
Free PNG download. SVG and EPS export coming with Pro.
Why use this generator
- Print on the receipt or check presenter so customers scan after a great meal or service.
- Sticker by the register, on the door, or on the bill folder for walk-out reviews.
- Email signatures and invoices — happy customers scan, leave a review, and you climb in local search.
- Service-industry follow-up: leave a card with the QR after a job is complete.
- Hotel rooms, salons, gyms: anywhere a satisfied customer has a quiet moment with their phone.
How it works
- 1Find your Google Business 'Place ID' at developers.google.com/maps/documentation/places/web-service/place-id, OR use Google Business Profile → 'Get more reviews' for a pre-built short link.
- 2Paste the full review URL (looks like https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=ChIJ...) into the field above.
- 3Pick brand colors but keep contrast high — these QR codes get printed on receipts and other low-contrast surfaces.
- 4Download the PNG. Print at 1×1 inch minimum on receipts, larger for window/wall placement.
Frequently asked questions
- Where do I find my Google Business review URL?
- In Google Business Profile (business.google.com), click 'Get more reviews' on your dashboard — Google generates a short link like g.page/r/... that opens the review form directly. Use that link as the QR content.
- Can I use the short g.page link?
- Yes, and it's actually preferable — shorter URL = less dense QR code = scans more reliably from small prints like receipts.
- Is asking for reviews against Google's policy?
- Asking is fine. What's against policy is incentivizing (offering discounts for reviews), filtering (only asking happy customers), or gating (asking customers to email you if unhappy and only post if happy). A neutral 'leave us a review' QR is fine.
- Why not just print the URL?
- Because typing a long URL on a phone keyboard at a restaurant table is friction that kills conversion. A QR converts a 30-second typing chore into a 3-second scan.
- Can I track how many reviews came from the QR?
- Indirectly: watch your Google Business review velocity before vs. after deploying the QR. With Pro dynamic QR codes, you can route through a tracked link and see per-location scan counts.
